This course will help students unlock their musical creativity by learning how to apply basic concepts of music theory to playing their instrument. Students will learn how to improvise, create their own melodies, and create variations of tunes they already know.  This course is divided into two playing levels. Prerequisites:
L1: Suzuki Book 3-4 and comfortable playing two octave scales.
L2:  Suzuki Book 5 or above, and comfortable playing three octave scales.
Note:
For the 2020 Fall semester, Westford Chamber Players (WCP) offers these three mini-classes, built on a success of the weekly classes we ran during the summer camp. All classes will be on Zoom with class size up to 10 students for music theory and great composers and up to 7 for the improvisation class. First come first serve. Our competitive rates were set to compensate the teachers and cover the basic admin expenses.

If you are interested in any of these classes but have a financial difficulty, please let us know at WestfordChamberPlayers@gmail.com.
