Westford Chamber Players (WCP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of student and professional musicians who strive to promote music education and community service, uniting their skills, talents, and appreciation of classical chamber music.
Our student musicians practice weekly in ensembles, coached by professional musicians. In each school year, the students participate in 2-3 outreach concerts and several public performances at local venues. In preparation for a concert program, the students are exposed to some of the greatest classical music repertoires,
from Mozart's Flute Quintet to Dvorak's American Quartet. We look for ways to stimulate individuality, recognizing our differences in opinions and level of achievements while seeking ways to unite and serve each and every piece of music.
We believe that developing musical discipline and appreciation starts at an early age. Through the world of classical music, we can cultivate our sense of joy, heighten our emotional intelligence, and indulge in our desire to achieve excellence.
Parents’ involvement and community support are vital for us. Our knowledge, skills, and resources might be limited. However, by working together, we can create a joyful and supportive environment that allows everyone to grow and to contribute.
